Gig season

Just wanted to know the opinions of what you all think is the best time of year to obtain a healthy gig (best chances)? FME, it seems to be around early fall. Alot of them tend to show up around that time for sale and maybe those of us looking for one, might get a winner.

It more depends on collection methods and holding proceduces than time of the year.

I have always felt the between Thanksgiving and New Years seemed to be the peak time, but big shipments come in at other times as well. Importers are getting a little more savy. They know that the haddonis are more hardy and don't waste there time/money with giganteas as much. Where I am haddonis are about twice the price of giganteas for similar colors.

Honestly I think it depends on where you live. Like around here we wouldn't want to receive a Gig between thanksgiving and new years as its so cold outside. I think it seems to impact the nem a lot with the conditions outside

My LFS told me they get lots of Haddonis and Gigas from Sri Lanka and the adjacent areas.. And those places only ship items out during summer time. Once in a while they will get shipments of those but usually its summer time.
