Giving the new versa a try

My BRS 50ML ATO pump went tango uniform, this time after only 7 months. I used to them lasting at least a year. I decided to give the Versa a shot this time besides BRS was out of their 50MLs. I think I'm way under using it as just a ATO pump but what the heck, if it lasts, the extra $$$ would be well worth it. As it is, I and topping off by hand daily which is fine except that the ATO runs through a kalkwasser reactor so, my pH is suffering and my calcium reactor shuts off when the pH drops so I'm going to have to adjust with 2 part.


Anyway, if I like it, perhaps I'll trade in my needle valve for another versa to run the calcium reactor.

I hope this works out good for you Mark. I got some frags for you . Little nuns on the rack that will grow. Just broken frags from the CFM event but they will grow nicely for you.

Well, it showed up this afternoon and not a minute too late. My ATO feeds my kalkwasser reactor which helps maintain pH and since my pH has been low with topping off by hand (no kalkwasser), my calcium reactor has been shut off for a week.

First impressions it the versa is awesome. The app is intuitive and easy to use. The unit is fairly quiet. The slower it goes the quieter it is.

There’s just the one problem, It won’t pump water. The watts fittings leak on my PE tubing. It either sucks air and pumps nothing or it sucks some water but leaks at poth the input and the output.


It seems this is a known issue with the Versa’s and supposedly the will next day me a replacement on Tuesday


I’m going to have to 2 part by hand and hopefully I get it up and running on Wednesday.
