glass anemone shrimp

I read on nano-reef.com that these shrimp need an anemone to survive but that doesn't sound rights, does anyone know if this is correct?

What's a glass anemone shrimp? Do you mean sexy shrimps? If they're sexy shrimps, yes, they can live without an anemone.

some anemone related inverts do feed on the mucous that the anemone puts out.

no not sexy shrimp, they are called glass anemone shrimp, Periclimenes brevicarpalis

They are very hard to keep alive for any extended period, read in Anthony Calflo's book on Invertebrates about them.
