hey gang,
well, I have a bit of a budget for my move. wife wants a new stand and looks like I will be getting a new sump as well to give myself a larger margin of error than I have with my current 7 gallon sump. I am looking at a 20 gallon sump from Glass cages. from what I was told when I spoke with them today is that most folks just take the supply from the overflow and place it into the tank. I currently have a flexible tube that I planned on using. if I do this, how do I utilize the bioballs and filter pad? does anyone have one of these in use and can shoot me a pic of it? looks like a very cost effective way of getting a sump. OR, does anyone have a sump of about the above mentioned size? I have found my stand at it is 30" tall.
