Glass Cleaning

Bought a used tank and the glass is very smokey in spots mostly inside than out. Anyone know of a cleaner or buffing agent that can be used on this. Thanks in advance.

hard water stains most likely. use vinegar and a rag.

A diluted solution of Muriatic acid will work as well. However, use in a well ventilated area and be sure to use gloves.

Take a look at the questionable areas with water in the tank. I have a used corner tank with etched "fogged" areas on the glass from years of powerhead output against the glass. While quite visible when the glass is dry, once I filled it with water, the defects were not visible.
