I live in Roseville. I am looking for a glass shop that can drill two holes in my 55 gallon. Can anyone refer me to a shop that you had a good experience with? Id like to get this part of my project done this week.
wow-- i guess that the link doesn't work anymore! sorry about that!
basically, you just buy a dremel tool and some diamond tipped bits (number 7105 to start the hole and number 7122 to finish all of the cutting). make sure to use plenty of water on the area you are drilling and GO SLOWLY! also, don't force the dremel to cut through the glass-- allow the bit to do the work for you.
it is pretty straight forward but i'd suggest doing a run through on any old scrap pieces of glass you've got laying around to get the hang of it first.
