Glass edge polishing

I ordered some glass, and the glass is fairly smooth on the edges, and is beveled (but the beveling is cloudy).

Was wondering if there are any DIY ways to make the edges perfectly smooth and shiny?

There arent any chips in the glass, nor are there sharp pieces of any kind sticking out (they beveled the glass but didnt perfectly smooth it out making it shiny)

Was thinking starting with 600 grit sandpaper, then moving to 2000 grit (wetsanding), and finishing with cerium oxide of some kind, but im really in need of help here. Any DIYers (cars) or people who have worked with glass before have any tips?

I really don't want to have the glass sent away for a hefty fee to go through a wetbelt sander.... and the store (wont mention names) did a CRAP job with their "polishing" job.

honestly think they forgot to polish it when i called em and they were pretty iffy and dont want to deal with them anymore.

edit: Ok after doing some reading im probably just going to make some calls to other glass shops in the area and see if they can treat the panes in a timely manner.
