Glass glue?

I have decided to go with a glass sump. So i was wondering what is the best glue used for a glass tank? Should i just go with any aquarium safe silicon? Also do you know where i can get glass baffles cut to size?

not glue, use the aquarium safe silicon that they sell at home depot or any lfs. you can get glass cut to size at any mirror and glass shop. I had mine done at this little place north miami beach. im sure you can find a place near u. make sure you take the inside dimensions and subtract a 1/4" from the measurements. that way you'll have 1/8" on both sides to work with. i used 1/4" glass as well, worked well for me. hth

I used plain old clear GE silicone. Just have to be careful, they make two kinds, silicone I and silicone II. One has an anti mildew agent in it and is not fish safe.

Sorry to post useless info, but I dont remember which is which, I have to go home and look at the tube I have laft over from my sump to be sure!

silicone 1 is the safe stuff.. its the same as the aquarium stuff only a third of the price or less. marketing

Thanks, I was going to make the sump out of acrylic but I figured that this would be more cost affective

Thanks jimbo....I was leanign toward saying it was Silicone I, but I didn't want to mis-inform the OP.
