Should i use glass or acrylic as a cover for my se mh? What would i use? How thick? Tempered? THANKS

I've never used acrylic for a light, but I know it takes very little heat to make acrylic pliable and warp as witnessed by the tank covers that I so meticulously crafted only to have them sag in the middle.

Many would say that you do not have to cover se bulbs, it's the de bulbs that emit uv radiation. Are you trying to protect from splash?

Yes i want to protect from water. not that i have seen much splashing in my tank DMBillies that is what i thought. i figured the heat would make acrylic flexible

Tempered Glass. I've tried using non-tempered and it doesn't end up working well :(. Trust me, tempered glass is only an extra $10 bucks and it will save you alot of hassel.
