glass repair?

does anybody know if starphire glass can be repaired? my tank is scratched from the outside. i have heard it can be repaired...anybody have any experience with this?

Most likely, it can't be repaired.

Depending on how much is in the tank, if it bothers you a lot, you can just turn the tank around.

When I checked about having scratches buffed out... The glass place told me if the scratch is deep enough where you can feel it with your fingernail, it's too deep.

How was it scratched? I don't hear of people scratching glass so often.

Are you completely sure it's a scratch? I thought I had one on my tank, but upon further inspection, it turned out to be just a spot where some extra glass was sticking up. I scratched it off and it looked fine.

it's definatley a scratch. It must have occured during sipping or packaging, because when we unwrapped it, the scratch was there. At first I thought it was silicone since there were other "lines" of silicone on the tank. This is the only one that didn't clean off. You can feel it with your fingernail. Can't turn the tank around, both sides are viewable.

As stated earlier, if you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, it's very unlikely that it can be removed. If the tank was new and you say it was on the glass when it was delivered, have you contacted the supplier?
