Hello everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has a piece of glass or the whole glass top for a 30" tank? Would rather give a member a couple bucks for there old one than fish store. Also a power head, one that works good. Hopefully someone has something laying around.

Let me know soon.

Thanks,

Dan

I do not have anything like that, but I you might find a deal at a local glass store. The one here in Powell cut two 36" long pieces for me a few years ago for less than $10. It was something like 1/4" or 3/8" thick -- whatever is standard for store window glass. They even rounded the edges for me so I wouldn't slice myself open while playing with it.

I second that suggestion. I had a piece of glass cut to fit a tank a couple of years ago and a glass company did it for $10. It was done very quickly and neatly. If you just need glass try that route before paying more for a top from a company.

I used a 1/4" Lexan lid for my 20L sump for about 6 months. It was super easy to cut for plumbing in and out, however, the lid did start to warp in the area with a lot of material missing (long skinny cut on one end) after a few months.

Lexan would be very light, but slightly more expensive than glass.

Also, I have that GSP frag ready to go whenever you want, ALTHOUGH, tonight I have confirmed the presence of bristle worms in my display. I am not bothered by them really, but I had hoped to keep them in the 'fuge only. I am not saying you are going to get them from my frag, but it is a possibility.

Some people hate them because they're ugly as sin, but mine only come out at night anyway.

Get a 6-line wrasse! I was overrun with the little devils until I bought "Iwrassemus" about 3 weeks ago. Now the only ones I can fiind left in the tank are in the territory of my Maroon Clown female, who won't let him get into her corner.

I think they're pretty cool, too. I DON'T think that their bristles are cool, however. Raking your fingers through the sand in my 'fuge will leave you with tons of tiny fiberglass-like barbs in your skin.

I spotted one in the 'fuge last night that could have likely reached each end of the 15g tank (24"). He was fat as all hell too.
