Glass top < par?

My lites aren't the greatest. Orbit marine and coral life T5.I only have softies in tank. I have a glass top. Incurious if it's worth getting rid of it .I would have to rig something for t5 to set on tho.I don't like the legs on light too far and then the orbit blocks some t5 . I did research and it does cut down on lighting but not really clear on how much. Wondering if its considerable amount?

Unless you keep the glass very clean it definitely cuts down on the light, impedes the water/air exchange and traps heat.

Like thegrun said. Unless you clean it every day which is a PITA it will affect your par a lot.

Thx. Yeah I don't clean it every day. Or even close.I'm going to have to come up with something.
