Glass vs. Acrylic

I have an Oceanic 90, it's really a well made tank but costs a lot more. I think you are paying for thicker glass and a little more attention to seams and details.

BTW dont get Acrylic, the scratches will drive you nutts.

Does anyone own an Oceanic glass tank? If so, what do you think of it? I notice a lot of members own AGA glass tanks.

What is a micromesh based scratch repair kit?

just remember.. to fix that scratch.. your gonna have to empty your tank.

pluto is right. You do NOT have to empty your tank if you use a micromesh kit. If you use Novus that's a different story. You can either use a magnet like plut suggests or just get your arm wet and stick it in there and scrub.

I have had both...125 glass and now a 225 arcylic. I can tell you from experience that they both have thier good points and bad points. But I was very surprised at how easy arcylic scratches. But the costs and the look is great. But in the future when I upgrade I will probably stick with arcylic.
