On the weekend of November 4, I'll be driving to Orlando to pick up my tank that I ordered from www.glasscages.com They will be at a reptile show up there. If anyone plans on ordering anything and wants to save on shipping. I can bring it back for you if it will fit in the back of my pickup. I think they will be in miami in december sometime, but I can't wait that long! I ordered a 180 tall with low iron glass.

just make sure to look over that tank really good before u load it up to bring home.

I ordered a low iron tank from them last year ..picked in orlando as well, brought it home and found all these scratches on the low iron glass panes.

The owner was a complete ***** about the thing as well. I will never buy anything thing from them again.

You're welcome... hopefuly you don't run into the same problem ... besides the scratches the tank was beautiful and overbuilt.

i was going to buy from them as well till I heard about the owner ( actually talked to him and hes not very nice as well as quality control. I'm Sure it will be fine though. Good luck and enjoy the new tank

you guys have got me a little nervous now...i already paid for the tank, I would hate to drive up to orlando just to find anything as much a small scratch on it.

Would I be better off transporting the tank in the back of my pickup with blankets ? or in the back of an enclosed trailer. The trailer seems like more of a PITA but may be worth it?

I'm looking to build a custom 500+ gallon tank with Starfire glass in the next year. I want to install it myself. Anyone have any suggestions for reasonably priced manufactures besides Glass Cages.....perhaps someone local to the Ft. Lauderdale area?

i used exotic on bird road for my 560g i saw across the street the guy builds tanks as well

hey Albert0522 how close are you to being ready to buy the tank? I know someone that may be willing to sell an amazing 560g brand spanking new for a good price. Shoot me an email

( dont worry not mine )

The store across form exotic on Bird road is good. Owner's name is Henry. Hard to catch him at the store sometimes, but always willing to help and good prices. Seen his work and it's pritty good.

yea henry is mad chill... and really if he knows he cant offer you something at a competitive price, he will tell you... which i respect...

I was in that store and i think it stunk. the stuff did't look good, the prices where c ompetitive but the stuff looked of poor quality. I should know something is wrong when i walk in and i get an excuese every time i go there why things don't look good. just my opinion. I don't think the store will last long. I hope he does though for his sake.

I'll ditto exotic... I saw nyvp's tank firsthand as it came out of the truck... excellent craftsmanship, well overbuilt, but not in an eyesore kindof way. Great tank. If I ever win the lottery, they'll definitely be hearing from me!!! ;-)

Hey any of you guys been to Age of Aquariums on Stirling and University yet? I went in there and I noticed a couple of fish looked like they had ich, and the prices on their equipment were crazy. A good example is they had a Megaflow 2 wet/dry filter for 3 hundred something...which could be bought online at drfostersmith for 199. I saw that and couldnt believe it! Where is the best place to buy fish? How long should they be quarantined for? Thanks

I agree with jess on that one, I went there a while ago and saw a bunch of sundials eating away at the zoo's and when i told the kid working there about it, he said he had to wait for someone to get there to remove them. i dont know about a place that just lets it product get eaten away like that

Hello all,
Where have you guys bought your tanks from? I drove all the way to orlando to pick up my tank...glasscages built it and it was completely wrong... my tank will be a room divider and they put overflows on both ends. In addition they had overcharged me as well and on top of that they added wrong and an extra hundred dollars was put in the total somehow. Don't people use calculators anymore? Anyhow, they refunded me the extra money I was charged and also took off the 100 shipping charge. I suppose I will give them another chance to get it right but if there is somewhere locally where I can purchase a 72x18x31 tank, please let me know. Thanks

so now you have to go back to orlando again? that sucks, you should tell them shove it and get it somewhere else.

Tiger-eyed got a 220 somewhere in broward, they delivered i believe perhaps he can give you specifics.

glasscages strikes again.....

why would you give them another chance?

How long have you been waiting?

8 hrs of driving for nothing kinda hurts

I'm sure you were bitting at the bit to get your tank up and running.

Are they going to give you a huge discount for screwing up if not move on

As I said earlier call karen at exotic

ok this is my point of view on this, I would get my money back for shure every last single penny. Next I would not go to exotic they are price in my opinion. go across the street and from there and ask henri he realy make nice work. Ok his store isn't very nice but what ever you getting a tank right.
