Gloves...wear your protection

Snarf

yes, from Thundercats...
I know we all do it. We go into our tanks unprotected at one time or another. I am guily of such things and got the bristle worms revenge under my finger nail... :(
After the close calls made within the last few months by both a CORA member and our very own Serpentman I thought I would give my input on where I buy my gloves. (Plus Jeff thought it was a good idea too. Glad your doing better.)

Most CVS, Walgreens, Giant Eagle stores etc sell the disposable vinyl, non-latex, powder free gloves for $6 for 50 gloves.
I'm sure the medical supply stores have them too.

I buy the box of 100 for $9.99 at Sally Beauty Supply. Right now they are on sale for $5.99 for a box of 100. They come in S, M, L and XL sizes.
They are professional salon gloves and pretty durable. They are non-latex and powder free...and they also come in black for a few extra bucks.
For those guys that have a wife, sister or girlfriend that shops there...Use their Sally discount card for discounts when they are not on sale. I think it's 10% off with the card.
How do you get the card? It's $5 for a year and you get it at the store. I just renewed mine. :D

FWIW I keep a box upstairs and downstairs so they are available if I have to get into any tank right away.

I know it's not a group buy but it is a great price right now and I just wanted to pass it along.

those gloves are great to have around for little stuff , ie moving frags and such .. but you want reef gloves for rocks and big stuff . Tunze , coralife , and others make them as well, they go all the way up to your arm pit and will not tear/puncture . about 15-25 bucks per set. in the long run well worth it ,,,,,ask Jeff !!! considering what he just went through its your best bet.

Thanks Murph,

I think I need to do both.

Yes, I have the aqua gloves too. As well as the yellow all purpose kitchen and cleaning gloves. I usually get the yellow kitchen gloves at the dollar store.
But, the aqua gloves are a must. Thanks Murph.

Just thought it was a great deal on the disposables and just wanted to pass the info on.
