Glue/Adhesive remover

I ordered a finnex 4x24w t-5 light. At first I was dissapointed with the reflector. I knew it was one for all 4 bulbs, but it was very dull. But, come to find out, it had a protector film on it I couldn't even tell. Well, I peeled it off the reflector, after the light has been on a few days and there is some kind of glue/adhesive left on the reflector. What would be something good to get this off?

Thanks,
Steve

I've used goo gone to get the sticky left over by tape. Not sure if this will get the job done, but can't hurt to try.

yea, its just sticky film from where the clear film was melting from the heat I guess. It isnt a big deal really because I ordered a couple single reflectors from hellolights and they fit perfect. I'm sure I could get 2 more and will only have to bend them a little to make all 4 fit (seen a thread on here where a guy did that with same fixture). The 2 I added made a big difference and I may not even need to get 2 more. We'll see how it looks when I get the reflector cleaned better. The 2 bulbs in the center are using it.

I really like it. The fans are kind of loud, but not too bad. I got it from nanotuners for 129 shipped. That was like $50 less than the current. It would be harder to add reflectors to the curent too because it has the lunar lights in the center. It looks better than my PCs I had.

Goo be gone is the BEST thing in the world for sticky or oily things. Use it all the time. Great to take off those nasty stick on tatoos all kids like also after they have been on a few days!

On shiny surfaces like that, I just use a regular piece of tape. I press the tape over the glue spot and the rip it off. I repeat this until the goo is gone. It works really well for the things I've done this with.
