The canopy on my 150 reef tank was lined with mirrors. Problem was they could not handle the heat from my MH’s so today I took the mirrors out. No problem here, but there was a lot of glue left behind. I want to seal the ply wood with a Marine coating. Will all this glue need to come off? I started sanding and what a pain, it tends to soften back up and just spread out. My concern is the coating, its Rust-Oleum Spar varnish will react to the glue. Can I varnish over the glue or will it haft to come off.
