so you can use normal super glue for frag mounting? I am new to the glueing frags and bought the super expensive "coral glue" but I didn't want to chance wrecking the tank with using super glue. so you just bring it out of the water than glue, let dry, then put it back in the tank? thanks

I use super glue gel for mounting frags, it does not need to be "coral glue". Its all the same type of glue with a different label on it, only difference is on how thick or thin it is.
See my post on cheap SG gel.

I always try and stick to the regular cyanacrylate super glue gels. I've run across one or two that have some additives in them, and I avoid those if I can. Not sure if they would cause a problem, but why risk it.

If you look around and compare pricing, you should be able to find even lebeled "coral glue" for cheaper than the stuff in the store. Miguel has soome good pricing on the big tubes at www.fragglereef.com

You glue them and when you put them back in the water it hardens.
The gel works best because it's thicker and easier to work with.

As soon as it hits the water it starts to harden so if it's rock on rock you can kinda twist it back and fourth a bit to get it to stick.

Ive used alot of diff. brands and never had a problem.
