what would you all use to glue a piece of glass at the bottom of the tank to cover the hole that is not toxic to fish. Thanks in advance.

100% silicon. you can go to lowes and get GE window and door I. make sure it is the one that doesnt have the mold killing agent in it. or you can go to the pet store and buy the exact same product that is labeled as aquraium silicon for 10X more.

I would also use a piece of glass that is much bigger that the hole, and at least the same thickness as the bottom. This should go inside the tank.
What I would do is scrape the tank surface with a razor, very very well, clean both the tank and the glass with rubbing alcohol, and then use a generous amount of silicone on the inside and outside. i would put down a thin layer, squish the glass onto it, and the do the seams around the outside of the patch(in the tank) and then the seams on the outside of the tank from the bottom.

They all say 100% silicone, even if they are not... if you are going to go GE, you need GE Silicone I door and window (blue tube) with NO bioseal. And let it dry at least 5 days before adding water

Thanks I'm headed to lowes now hopefully they have some.I am still fighting trying to get the paint off the back and sides the razor is a very slow process
