I am making my nex taquarium... going to be 3/4 inch.. i am having all the sheets cut and roughtered for me. i have been practicing on joints and have been getting pretty good ones i think.. problem is a little after dry time some bubbles or lack of bonding ocurr around the outsides.. i have tried both pins and regular meathods. I was wondering if anyone had good pictures of their seems after working with acylric and what they look like. send me some so i know if mine are good or not. one thing i noticed is the pins method is SO much more messy.. the solvent goes all over...

Black 71gp,
I have been relegated to a rubbermaid tank too.
I had to do something with my 90 lbs of formerly LR
I am remodling my house so I had to do something.
Did you check out Zephrant's links?
Lots of info on acrylic.

thank.. i have been using the pins method to practice and on 1/2 and 3/8th.. i get beautiful no bubble seems at all. look great.. when i try it on the 3/4 (what i am building my tank out of) i get good seems except on the outside two edges of the piece of acrylic i get a string of bubbles.. they only show up after about an hour or so of dry time.. the first 20 min or so.. the seems look great no bubbles or anything.. then as drying it slowly bubbles up around the outside edges... i mean they still seem really strong and i will probaly have to run some weldon 16 across them.. but would it be worth steping up to the weldon 40? or keep with the 4.. the pins make a huge mess.. extra solvent all over the place...lol... but nice looking seems... except on the 3/4 any idea why?
