Glueing my rocks together

Hi all,
With the help of Chris I have now gotten a rock structure in my 120. Thanks Again Chris!
What would be the best way to put all of this together so it won't fall over once it has inhabitants in it. I was thinking of using Silicone. Will that work?
Or is the Epoxy stick the best way to go?

I watched witht he rocks. lol But its going to be a very nice tank. Cant wait till its filled. If ya ever need another hand just let me know. Silicon seemed lieka good idea and a bit cheeper than the epoxy. But I dunno. lol

Silicone I not Silicone II right? If your putting together live rock would the Silicone stick if the rock wasn't completely dry and wouldn't an epoxy like "AquaMend" or superglue allow growth over it after time compare to Silicone which would always be clear & clean?

Yes , Silicone I. The rocks are dry bare base rock. It's the base to the structure I am wanting to build once I get water in it and add live rock to the top of it.
The live rock I know I am going to use an epoxy stick to fasten to the base rock.

I'm going to use compression cement from HD. You will find folks using it in the Large Reef Tanks area. The version they are using is called Thorite. It's the cement used to fix cracks in basements.

have you thought about instead of gluing using zip ties ?
i have heard this works well and if needed to remove just cut and replace.
i dont have experience in this but have heard good results

I zip tied mine, but did it with LR. I even used a masonry bit to drill some holes in the big ones and run the zip ties through. It drilled like butter, but I broke a couple in half so beware.

I think you should zip tie it, this will give you flexibility. In one year, I must have changed my rock structure atleast twice. Something to think about.

PS josh's tank looks awesome and he used zip ties and you can't even see them. Trust his opinion. I am going to do that.
