Ok...I got some zoos at the meeting a few weeks back that have been floating around my tank! I got the super Glue gel to glue them to some rocks but it still sounds wieird to me! Just Glue the base and stick it to a rock? Can it be done in the water or does it have to be done out....I haven't tried it yet! I hate to kill the zoos...I also have a few mushrooms floating around...I tried the rubberband but they always end up getting away! Can it be used on them aswell....

Thanks guys!

Bret

You've got it pretty much right for the zoo's ....i always do it outside the water, but you can do it in the water as well..

AS far as the shrooms....rubberbanding or tying it down with fishing line....

Bret the easiest way to glue zoos is to do it outside, just have the piece of rock ready by removing it and pa\dding it dry with a paper towel, get the polyp (s) and get them out as well, place them in a damp paper towel until ready to glue, get a drop of the gel and place it on the rock blow some air until it start drying ouside and forms a light skin, pad the polyp dry on the base, place it on top of the glue drop while twisting 1/4 turn and lightly pressing down (the skin on the glue will give), keep your finger on the polyp putting some light pressure, count till 20 and let it go, from here you can do more polyps or simply place the rock back in the water, you are done

I use super glue on the zoos

for the mushrooms - they slime that stuff right off so I use a small plastic container and put some rock rubble in the bottom and place the mushroom inside and then rubberand bridal veil netting (real cheap at wal-mart fabric section) over the top of the container so the mushrooms stay in until they have attached.

if space is an issue I have also just wrapped the netting over the mushroom and rock

good luck

i always glue the zoos to the small rock and then run a small string of it over the top because sometimes the polyps continue to ooze mucus and it doesnt completely stick to the superglue. an added string of glue over the top locks it in place.
