gluing rocks to glass?

I'm not sure where to post this, so it's going in the DIY section as well, but is there any way to glue small pieces of rock to the tank glass underwater? I can't really take enough water out to get the spot i want. Thanks for any advise.

You might be better off gluing the rock to a magnet, if its small enough. Gluing a rock to the glass might be a degree of difficulty, plus eventually, it will work itself off.
If your tank was empty, sure there is a way, but with it having water, degree of difficulty goes’s up.

Yes, I've done it in both my tanks. First scratch the glass with a diamond bit then use reef epoxy. I also use egg crate and PVC pipe to hold in place for several hours while the epoxy cures.

I did it to the back wall. You'll see in my pic I did an area bigger than I needed. But coraline covers it very quickly. I'm not sure how it would hold to just glass.

I was thinking i might need to get the glass roughed up, but i'm kind of hesitant to do this! I may need to do some rock re-arranging to be able to get the water down. It's probably going to be just a few small pieces of rubble with a frag on it, but i may eventually make an arch going from the glass down to my rocks. I guess i need to do a little more planning, but the magnet idea is pretty great!
