gluing rubbermaid sump

hi, quick question. im interested in DYIing a sump out of a 54gal. rubbermaid storage bin for a 55gal. FOWLR setup? can i use aquarium silicone to glue barriers within it? what other glues could i use? also, how do i determine how thick the acrylic has to be for such use? any advice and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Sure you can use silicone. It depends on what your doing with the acrylic that would determine the thickness.

thanks for the reply. could i use super glue (cyanoacylate) for areas that need to support weight (like were the the plate that sits on top of the bioballs that holds the overflow tubes would be located) ? I plan to divide the tub into three compartments (it is 42 inches long), one for a wet/dry, one for the protein skimmer, and one for a refugium/return pump. the tub would be 17 inches tall, but i dont plan to have the water level any taller than half to 2/3 of the way up.
