gluing SPS frags

im new to the whole coral thing, but can i superglue a small frag directly to my glass?i like the look of them growing (sometimes encrusting) on glass.

u can but it may not stick longterm. Its best to glue them to coralline on the glass so they have some tooth to grab on to. ALso look into magnetic mounts that way you can move them around for cleaning around them if you like the clean glass look. THey will be more stable also so u wont have to worry about them falling down. ALso since you are new, make sure you are using only gel superglue.

I have done this in past, by putting putty on glass, wait till dry.

then suerglow the frag onto the putty.

putty seems to attach to glass easier.

then if the coral encrusts around putty and onto glass, it will hold stronger, but corals that dont encrust will get too top heavy till putty gives up.

thanks guys. i am using super glue gel.

i have looked into getting an aqua-mag rock, i still may to that since it seems more stable with the heavy duty magnets
