What is the best Goby for mixing up my Caribsea special Grade sand and keeping it clean. This is a Nano tank setup.

Thanks

I had a orange spot goby / spotted prawn goby (Amblyeleotris guttata) in my 5 gal. Unfortunately it went carpet surfing. I really liked that little guy. :sad2:

I realize this is just the type of info your are looking for. Be careful buying a goby that relays on the nutrients in the sand to survive. Especially in a tank your size. It will sift until it has depleted all its food source, then starve and die. That being said, jtgrimes's suggestion of a yellow watchman and a pistol shrimp are a great addition for a tank your size. Another great selection is a conch. I have one in my 40b, and it does great job keeping the sand bed clean.

Diamond watchmen goby does a nice job. However, borderreef is right. Some will slowly starve. My DWG eats prepared food every time I feed but alas gets skinnier by the day. However my pink spotted goby is fat and eats less than the DWG.

Just be careful with rockwork with a conch. They move in a really awkward way. I had one, and the poor thing was constantly banging against the glass while trying to scoot past rocks in the tank and scaring itself. I felt so bad for it that I took it out of the tank.
