Can someone give me a positive ID on this Goby. The LFS called it a Dragon Goby. Don't think so.

Thanks, that is what I was going with also. Why would they call it a Dragon Goby?

No idea. Totally different fish!

I agree on the species identification. As far as the Dragon Goby thing- that IS the common name in my part of the country at least. Ive never heard it called a Banded Sleeper Goby before; Im guessing its just a regional variation. I think the "Dragon Goby" forddna is referring to is the brackish fish Gobioides broussonetti maybe..? Around here those are also called dragon gobies, or dragon eels (not to be confused with dragon morays... lol)

You know..I was thinking Dragon Goby was something else, but a quick google search says it's the same as what I posted. That's what Live Aquaria called it (what I posted).

I think I will stick with the Sleeper Banded Goby for the Common Name. To me the Dragon Goby is a completely different animal. Either way, I think the guy is very cool with great personality.
