going big... need opinions

planning a 210. I might go bigger but then it would be custom and not any deeper or taller than a 210, just longer.

if i recall correctly a 210 is 72" long, 24" deep and 30" tall.

i've pretty much figured out what i'm going to do with everything else but i'm undecided about the lighting.

it's going to be sps, lps, shrooms/rics, zoas/pallys, fish, inverts.

placement according to lighting needs etc.

so should i go with 250 DE in luminarcs or 400 moguls in luminarcs both supplemented by t5 or vho actinics.

i'm leaning towards the 250s cuz it will give me less light low where i can put the mushrooms etc but still have plenty punch for sps in the mid to upper levels. thinking that it would also eliminate the need for a chiller. But i'm still unsure because for some reason i feel like it won't be enough light.

all the big tank people chime in please.

ps: i have a 150 hqi + actinics over a 29 biocube. everthing in there is ridiculous and no chiller. sorry no recent pics but feel free to stop by with ur macros

look out for the build thread to come soon.

I really like 400w 20k's, I have had them all from 150 to 400. Were in P. Pines are you? I would like to see the corals.

thought about that but i like the brightness of a 10 - 12k reeflux bulb and the growth rates they produce.

anyone else?

There's a local guy in Broward named Fabian who's building custom tanks with starphire glass.
His # is 754-204-6034
He's building one for somebody in the club right now but I forget who it was.
