Time for an upgrade

I am replacing the 75 with a 180

So a 6x2x2 will join the 8x2x2.

The stand is ready to caulk and paint. I need to get the sawdust out of the garage first.

it uses 40 and 100 gallon stock tanks. I am going tp add a 150 gallon one
I am going tp move everything to the next size bigger tank and have 3 tiers by placing the 100 up on concrete block raising it 8 inches or so. The 150 is here already.
Something like this

The 75 gallon tank will be setup in the fishroom as a grow out tank. I pay for larger fish but receive tiny ones. I will have somewhere to put them. I am hoping to keep the 29 gallon fuge as well.
Right now my ATO water is in a 23 gallon trashcan. I need to find something larger. At some point I will have to redo my water station with larger tanks.

Ahh - I thought you got new meds and had a sudden urge to upsize again!
I see the new light bar on the left where the hood used to be now!

The oldest of our animal friends had to be put down yesterday, It was time.
We will always love you. You were a special part of our lives.

Something I did that works great is huge filter socks 8" diameter and about 36" long. They dont clog up to fast and 8" is easy to turn inside out. Then I use a 55 gallon plastic barrel so its nice and tall. Then that dumps into a sump with skimmer.

I do not use filter socks. I have a large skimmer, ozone injected in a second large skimmer, sulfur reactors, biopellet reactor, kalk stirrer and dosers. I don't do water changes.
My only ongoing problem is reoccurring cyano. I run Chemiclean for that twice a year.

I have not been posting much. It is the nature of my illness. It is a bit bothersome to type and be verbal.
After 2 1/2 years of neglect while my knees were replaced I have to pick up the pieces and get things restarted.IMG_E6386[1].JPG

The cyano finally just went away after a bit of readjustment to the sulfur reactors and LaCL dose. I also turned the lights down a bit and made them closer to 14k than 10k like I had them. I did use the AF Lifesource Mud and the last of 1000ml went in today. I have been cleaning the gravel in the 240 and I have made a new weapon in the quest to get the dirt out.
IMG_E6389[1].JPGIt is a diatom filter with 30 micron pleated filter using a Magdrive 18 pump that originally came on my Lifereef skimmer. I put a larger Jebao Pump on that. It has 2 cups of diatom powder in it. It sucked that right out of a 5 gallon bucket so I have high hopes.
I need to mount it on a stand. I was waiting for it to pass its first trials. It does move a lot of water.
I also added cute fish door handles to the cabinets I found at Hobby Lobby. Now to wash the salt off them.
I also need to relearn how to take pictures.
