i bought my 150w MH lighting fixture about 6 months ago... it came with a 20KK bulb... not having any previous experiences with MH lighting before, i was kinda disappointed with the color temperature from the first time i turned it on... it was too blue for my taste and even it's 150w, it still seemed dark...
today, i got a new 14KK bulb... the light seems so much brighter than the blue one... there is a very slight yellow tint to the color but not enough to bother me... when i turn off the lights in the room, looking into the aquarium is like looking outside a house window when it's sunny and clear outside...
my question is, since the perception that i have is that the 14KK bulb is so much brighter than the 20KK bulb, would this benefit the corals in anyway...?
