I am very new to this forum and even though I have made the effort, I haven't been able to find an answer to my question. As it says in the title, I am going from a 75g to a 270g. I will be transfering all of the water and rock (100lbs), adding an additional 200lbs of cured rock, and making a 6in DSB. I will be using a 75g as a sump, a fluval 404 as a phosphate reactor, blah blah blah. My quandry lies in the fact that I am moving into a house from an apartment and we opted for the wood floor upgrade. I do NOT want to ruin my wood floors, so I am wondering if I should attempt to reseal the tank after the move. The last thing I need is a leak; I have filled the tank in my garage at the apartment and after a week it hasn't leaked. I know the tank is sound now, but I am concerned with the flexing that will occur during the move. The tank is 7x2x3 high. If I need to reseal it, how do I do that? Also, with those measurements, how many pounds of aragonite do you think I need to make a 6in DSB? I am just keeping angels, will 300lbs of live rock be enough for filtration in addition to the sump? One more question; the tank is not drilled and I intend on putting 2 or 3 overflow boxes on it. How many gph do they need to pull (each)? Thank you.
