Going to share a deal on salt

Went to this place today
6632 w Myrtle ave suite B Glendale Arizona Some kind of closeout warehouse.

Salt wasn't caked or hard.

They are selling Reef crystals,orange box 200 gallon for 12$

I bought 3 with tax it was 39$

Hours are 830-5

They had maybe 60 or so boxes left.

I would stock up on that if I used reef crystals. I will have to pass it onto some of my friends that do.

No,just the orange box.It isn't a pet supplies place more like a close out for anything/everything

Looks like a liquidation place. Great deal for a reef crystals user.

I picked up 3 cases as well. I usually use Instant Ocean, but I'll probably go half and half to keep the values closer to what I usually water change with.

They still had probably 30 cases when I was there.

It is a liquidation house now, not an auction place. I may hit them up for some construction projects down the road...

I picked up 4 boxes today. They had 4-5 left and they are boxes that have rips/tears in them, but the bags looked to be sealed still.

Not to alarm anyone, but there was a bad batch of Reef Crystals 4-5 yrs ago. Highly doubt any bad batch are still around, but I would test the mix before adding to your tank.

I remember it had low calcium and needed to buffer for PH. Unless it was another issue I don't know about. I will test the fresh mixed salt water before using it at least once per box.

I don't recall the exact issue, but it wasn't just low in calcium or buffer issue. It was something else that wiped out an entire tank. Cant find the thread, but multiple people had the same issue, maybe not as extreme.
