gold striped maroon clowns coloring question

hey all ive been noticeing for a few weeks now it seems like my female maroons stripes are going from a very bright yellow to a really dark color. like brown mixed with dark dark yellow. her body is already really dark, i doubt id notice if her body coloring changed.

I wasent feeding them any selcon or zoe, I have in the past. but not in the last month 1/2 at least

I feed them
omega one flakes
emerald entree - probley the most
marine cusine
cyclopeeze
mysis
brine every so often

Do you think this is happening because of dietary issues?
Or are theyre maroons out there that really get THIS dark in the stripes?


1 more thing... my juvis second and third stripe are starting to turn yellow, the headband the darkest, but all are still pretty light....

If the color changing is suddently...fish change colors depending on their moods (i.e tangs, wrasses, etc)..clowns are no different. Some foods contain color enhancers, like salmon skins..(in your case Omega One Flakes)..Healthy, happy maroons are usually very dark with BRIGHT golden stripes...So, you must be doing something good .

but the stripes arent bright, they are so dark they are almost brown.

Is that their new permanent color?..or does it change on and off?

its been getting darker all this month.

my clarkii's stripes got very dark for a while. Not sure why either. They are still a little darker than they were when I got them. I've heard they darken with age/maturity but don't really know.
