Gold Torch Easy to Care?

We have a few, and they're just as easy as our hammers and frogspawn. The flow can be low to moderate. The orange is such a great color addition :)

I have 2 gold/orange torch corals.
One is shaded by a green monti cap and the other is out in the direct light. Both are doing good.
Flow is moderate, meaning they are moving all the time, but not being whipped.

I have a pink tipped torch great addition. Adds movement to the tank mine is sitting on my sand bed and mine gets low to moderate flow

I heard these golden torches are slow growers, which is makes them slightly more expensive? Does your growth rate indicate the same?

Do you try to feed yours?

No I don't
I don't specificly feed any of my torch corals, hammers or frogspawns.
I have a single fish in my 50 gallon tank, a yellow multibanded pipe fish, and I feed him a single cube of hykari Mysis every night.
I don't see any feeding response from any of the corals.

I spot feed everything. I have a ton of Euphyalia (sp?), including two torches, one aussie gold. It has probably doubled in size over the last 6 (?) weeks or so...still only one head, but the head is huge...good luck. Love those things!

I just bought a one-headed gold torch for $58. Hopefully its fair price.

I'll stick it at the bottom of my tank. In 1-2 weeks, I start feeding my new torch some large mysis shrimp and continue feeding him 1-2 times weekly (more if I have some time).

$50 to $60 a head seems to be about normal for Seattle.

I bought a single head at Barrier for $60 about 5 months ago.
Bought a single head at Sea King for $50 about 7 months ago.

I got a single head + a baby for $50. I now have 2 full sized heads. I love the color under my more actinic mode on my LEDs. I have had them for about 6-8 weeks.
