Golden Dwarf Moray Eel.

So I have a 75 gallon Reef tank, and i want to get my "STAR" fish, i have been thinking about triggers but they get to big and aggressive, I was also thinking about a moorish idol but they are extremely hard to care for ( better leave them in the ocean ), So I have come across a golden dwarf moray eel and they instantly got my attention, I have always dreamed of getting an eel but they are all to big... So would this guy be a good inhabitants to my reef tank, here is my livestock
2 false perc clowns
1 bangai cardinal
1 yellow watchmen goby
1 lemonpeel angel
1 valentini puffer
1 cleaner wrasse
1 peppermint shrimp ( always hidden in a tiny cave were no predators can get him.
Also I have some coral.
Will this work?

Golden dwarfs are very reef friendly. They reach a max of 12" and I would be sure to have a tight lid on your tank as they are quite an expensive ($200-400) addition to risk losing.

Is your tank covered? if not, you'll likely have dried eel on your floor sooner, rather than later.

As far as your inhabitants go, your shrimp would definitely be dinner, and the wrasse and watchman goby would probably be dinner.

Cover your tank well. Mine ate silver sides and shrimp and fresh squid. They have one on divers den right now. Thats where i got mine and i had it with the smallest gobys and clown fish. And they are active.

I read you have to feed them (and most eels) with a piece of food impaled on a stick. Can't you just put four or five live feeder shrimp in the tank at a time? And let the eel hunt them down when they are hungry?

I have a dwarf golden moray. She's in with several small fish and leaves them all alone. I have a firefish, red scooter blenny, Orange spotted goby and a bicolor blenny. There have been no issues with the eel. She did eat my peppermint shrimp but has left the blood red cleaner and skunk cleaner alone.

I feed mine 1-2 times a week. She eats silversides stuffed with pellets. She will also grab some frozen krill when I feed it to the tank. She's not very good at it though. Morays have poor eyesight. I think it's better to spot feed at least once a week. I don't think a few ghost shrimp would be enough and most likely your other fish would get them before the eel did.
