I am considering getting a golden dwarf morray and I was curious how big they get, what to feed them, how much it costs to feed them, how often to feed them, how much to feed them, how loong to QT them, what is a good price for one, and how mean are they would they eat my clowns when they are full grown
Ok mine maxes out at 12 in divers dens says 10 thought.I feed mone silver sides and freezer bern lobster or the same thing other eels eat. It not much to feed them. I feed mine 2-3 times a week. I did not qt mine he was the first fish in thentank. A good price is 250-280 that's what I paid for mine on DD and I have mine in with clowns and I have nine in with a I inch yellow stripe and they r fairly shy so not too mean fairly active for an eel and they have them onDD every 3 months or so that's where I got mine and by the way what happened to your pic
I was told I was not supossed to have it because it said live aquaria and what do other eels eat have no experence with eels and I am pretty sure my LFS said they sell them for $80 but might have missed a diget but if it is 80 for a baby is it a good deal thanks for the help
ok I know what live aquaria is and how do you drip aclimate and the one I am pretty sure the one I can get from my LFS is about six inches they dont have it at the store they can order it for me
i have had a golden in my tank for about 1.5 yrs and there r cleaner shrimp and crabs and small fish and all i worry about is when something dies to different causes it will eat the dead body other than that he has been great as far as eels go i guess just lookin for a new home for him cuz i want a dragon moray. but all together great eel! mine eats about once every few days like 2-3 pcs. of krill, squid, silversides etc.... and its around 12 inches in length and is more active at night but you still see im out and about in the rock work during the day, prices go around 300-500 for the more nicer ones and some inmataions go for less and are not really dwarfs in my experience.
if your lfs is telling you they can get you one for 80$ than it isnt a golden dwarf. A tell tail sign is blue eyes. Golden dwarfs have blue eyes with a vertical black stripe through them so make sure you check the one you lfs gets to make sure its what they say it is. Mine has grabbed small fish and shrimp. Just make sure there are no fish that can fit in its mouth or they are fair game.
