Is the golden butterfly relatively hardy? I feed nori seaweed sheets, mysis, and clam. Its a 100 gallon with a eshopps wet dry filter and a 15 watt uv sterilizer. Would he be good in that tank? Tankmates are semi aggressive, angels, wrasse, anthias(lyre tail) ect. Would that be good?

They have always been considered hardy, relative to butterflies. They are just expensive. They still require proper QT and acclimation, just like any butterfly, IME.

I've one since Nov 2007 and been through various rounds of cupramine and hypo in the first 3 years. It's about 5" now but only grew about 1/2" since being introduced in the DT then boom all of a sudden grew another 1/2" in the last 6-8 months. I started feeding more homemade seafood and it also started eating pellets during this time frame and may have contributed to the growth and even the color looks better. I don't know what type of angels you have that you consider semi aggressive but mine holds its own pretty well. I recommend definitely finding one under 4" and 3" would be ideal ime for your tank size.
