Golden Wrasse

So I took your guy's advice and took the royal gramma out of my tank, so I could put my wrasse in. As soon as he got released into the water he went under the sand. This was yesterday afternoon. I havn't seen him since. I know this is normal but, how long do they usually stay under? I'm very anxious to see my new fish!:bounce3:

Yellow coris wrasse I had was MIA for a week once after a tank move. Reappeared looking quite plump so I suspect some of the time was spent eating pods behind the rock stack.

He came out a few hours ago and ate some food, then went right back into the sand. Hopefully Ill see more of him tomorrow.

sounds normal. It's appearances should lengthen over time, but it will probably always be one of the first fish to 'bed down' at night.

This fish is a great addition to a reef aquarium and a better choice than the Gramma IMO/IME.

After seeing my wrasse swim for just a tiny bit, I was convinced that it was better than my gramma.

Golden Wrasse?

Golden Wrasse?

Wrasses are the most awesome fish!!! When you wrasse does come out can you post a picture? I had a brazilian wrasse that was an excellent fish and also a yellow coris another beauty. They both took a few days of burying themselves. Kool !!!!:bounce3:

Well he came out longer today and ate again! I did get a quick picture of him, Ill post it in a little bit.
