goldflake angel

As with most angels they're hit and miss. If you do a search in this forum I think there are a few good threads on Goldflakes.

Can't comment on the zoa safe part as I've it in fowlr. I've a GF with 3 FAs, CB, Lemonpeel and Venustus without any problem.

As for the price...$250 is a great price but if it doesn't survive then it's no bargain having to buy another. So I highly recommend getting one from a reputable place especially one with 14 days live guarantee. I would also QT the GF to treat for possible internal parasite and get it eating before putting in a DT.

I've got a ~5" GoldFlake for maybe a year now. It has been a great citizen for me in my sps tank. Within the last week, I added a piece of Superman Zoa's to the Main tank and it doesn't look as if either the Regal Angel or Goldflake has touched them.

Remember, with any Angel, they are Hit and Miss with lps, Zoas, Clams ect...

As for price... listen to flameangel!!! Spot on!

Zoanthids are like candy to Regal Angelfish. Small price to pay for such a beautiful fish.

I am buying it from a fellow hobbyist who is shutting down the tank. The fish is qt and I added him to the tank yesterday. My purple tang is bothering him. IS it common for tangs to bother the angels?

Its common for a purple tang to bother new tank mates. Mine does this for a few days and then gets over it. Keep an eye on the GF and once it gets settled in it will get an angel attitude.

oh ok. Thanks. The only fish the purple didnt bother was a PB that was a little bigger thank him.

Honestly, I don't think size matter when it comes to tangs. When I'd a 3.5 Yellow Tang that was established it killed a new 4.5-5" Purple Tang in two days.

I would watch the aggression closely because you don't want it get out of control where the GF will just shut down from eating.
