Gone to the Bahamas...

So for school I am traveling abroad to San Salvador in the Bahamas for my marine biology class.

I'm going for 11 days snorkeling and diving, just plain old research. Any how i'm having my dad watch the tanks for me while I am gone.

This is my plan to help my dad take care of the tanks while I am gone,

- do a water change the night before I leave
- divide the food proportions out and add garlic extreme and vita chem to the food and than vac-seal them.
- use an automatic feeder and set it to feed the fish on the morning.
- have ~100 gallons of ro-di water prepared for top off
- have a schedule set for b-ionc to be added (depending on tank conditions before leaving)
- mark on the sump where the water level should be at all times.

If there is anything you may do differently or have any advice, please share it with me!! Thanks in advance everyone.

I should be getting a Go-Pro HERO 2 to go scuba diving with, and when I return ill post my video of it.

The Bahamas are awful this time of year...Im sure you will hate it and have a horrible time. Snorkeling is dangerous...I wouldn't attempt it.

Tough being you. So sorry you have to waste all that time in the Bahamas. Be sure to give your Dad a couple of phone numbers for Rochester reefers in case he has an emergency or any questions. Have a great time.

Oh thats even worse! Trust me you will hate it....why don't you give your tickets to me..I'll take one for the team.

awesome, enjoy! The tip on the phone numbers is a solid. Also make sure you have a good dosing schedule set before hand, don't fall to temptation to change it the day before :)

You are gonna love it. Reefs in the Bahamas are very nice. I have been going through surveys of their underwater wildlife for a Bahamas biotope reef tank. Wish you could bring stuff back but you can't. Have fun and remember no drinking and diving.
