Goni Hosting clownfish

So I added a RBTA to my tank on saturday. I have had a clownfish in my tank for about 8 months or so. Now as soon as i put the RBTA into the tank my clown started going into my Goni and is now cleaning it and rubbing up against it which it has never done. I was really hoping he would go for the RBTA instead of the Goni. I guess my question is now that hes made his home in the Goni do you think he would ever decide to ditch it and go into the anemone?

Maybe if you move the Goni to a different location that's unappealing to the clownfish. Or if possibly the sump until the clownfish find the rbta. I lured my clownfish to my bta anemone with food.

Assuming that's the same RBTA you posted about, which looks bleached, you will want to allow it to settle in and get healthy again before trying to get the clown interested in it. You don't mention what type of clownfish you have, as they dont all take to RBTA's. Some will take to them right away, others may never.

Sorry it is an Ocellaris clownfish. And yes its the same anemone, I just thought it was weird that after so many months the second i put an anemone into my tank it starts to live in the goni. The anemone has put itself into a nice crevice on my rock so I'm assuming hes happy where he is. I don't really want to force the clown into it especially since its new, I actually like it in the goni, its much much bigger than my anemone and it looks cool having him in there now.

Yea, you wont be able to force them into it. They will either go for it or not. I'd say get that nem nice and happy and then relocate the Goni if you want to try again. Clowns can stress an unhappy nem to the point of death IF they were interested in it. Better that you not 'push' them into checking it out while it recovers.

Also pictures if you can just cause I like to see clowns in things other than Nems. :) My very first set of clowns took to my mag float over an rbta. silly things.
