how are you suppsed to place these?? i just got a couple yesterday and was unsure how to place them.. there is flesh just about all the way around on one.. whats the best way, or how should it be done??

I took a plastic cup, cut off the bottom, drilled holes in it, and stuck it down into the sand for a baby pen. It is placed in a fairly low flow area.

I've tried gluing one to a rock, but that seems to create more problems for the coral. They are usually "free-living" in the oceans.
When they inflate they are pretty lightweight and will blow around very easily, so even when placed in a low flow area they will still magically end up somewhere else unless you create a "pen" of some sort.

The area on yours where the skeleton is exposed is its bottom. If you hold them about 6 inches above the sand and drop them, they usually land on their bottom :). When you handle them, try to scoop and cup them into your fingers instead of grab and pinch them between your fingers.
