Goniopora and Alveopora Show-Off Thread

I don't think I've ever seen a thread for pics of Goniopora or Alveopora. I find these corals extremely beautiful and would like to see different color morphs.

I know that these corals are hard to take care of also and are difficult to keep long term, but we are all discovering new ways to keep these beauties alive. I would also like to know how long you have had these for and what you do to keep them alive and healthy.

Please post your pics here. :D

Heres mine, unfortunately didn't last long. Nothing much.

Wow, nice everyone! I am planning on getting an alveopora soon, will post pics when I do. Keep the pics coming! :D

If any of you are wondering about what they eat, and anything about them, theres a site just for goniopora. its goniopora.org. Very good info there on feeding and care.

All these pics are making me more and more anxious to get one. How much were all these and for what size?

These 2"-3" I bought it and more than 2 years they are at me. Now 4" and 5". I consider them important one to nourish regularly. Weekly two times get cyclops, once Tropic Marine Coral Zooton and once zooplankton and iron.

Nice everyone.

Anyway, it seems alot of you have had them for two years. Thats great and so inspiring to me. I thought that they only survived a year at maximum, but I guess I was wrong.

No one has Alveopora?

Here is my Alveopora. It is currently slightly lighter in color, I think because it's not getting enough fatty foods, and partially because it because it fell into the sand bed while on vacation, but these are some decent pictures from shortly after I purchased it.

Awesome! I love it. I have never had an alveopora. Are their skeletons supposed to look like that or is it an encrusting species?

I thought that they only survived a year at maximum

I think they will thrive longer than that if we keep them according to their requirements. I believe feeding them well is one of the more important factors in getting them to do well from what I have read.

Here a picture of ours, grew from a small frag to over the size of a basketball in 5 years...

I have never target fed it anything..
