Goniopora (flower pot)

What is your experience level in the hobby? I think you can probably keep just about anything if the conditions and husbandry is just right. That said do lots of research on this genus as it's not the easiest to successfully keep. Some species of Goniopora are easier to keep than others. We've had decent success with the smaller polyp variety.

I agree, it can be one of the more difficult corals to keep so I would not personally attempt it unless I had some success with other soft corals or LPS corals.

Ok thanks. Well I do have past experience with LPS and softies. However my current tank doesn't have much for corals yet. Just some mushrooms and zoas. I am trying to decide what I want this time around. I am thinking hammer/frogspawn, more zoas of course, but not sure on others. I do have experience with the sun coral as well mine was doing lovely when I sold my tank.
