goniopora help

So they gave my neighbor a goni neon green with his biocube I showed him how half of it is dead and he just gave it to me. He has power compact.lights I assume that has part of the fault for it not doing well.

After looking at it it looks like someone tried splitting it in half. I 4 bulb t5 with ati bulbs so its better lights and the goni is fully extending. Will this have a chance of recovering?

Recover? No. But as far as I am aware goniopora can regrow where it has once died.

That's what I meant regrow in the spots it is currently dead

no green gonis are very hard to keep, I dont think the light in itself had much to do with its demise
