gonipora not well

I have a red gonipora that is just not happy in my tank. It has never extended much in my tank since I purchased it a good 6 months or so. It is not completely retracted and you cant even tell it has polyps heads. It still has it red color. I feed my tank with a coral food that I made consisting of rotifers, artic pods and cyclopeeze. it is enough food that it looks like a small dust storm in the tank. Nothing will bring out the polyps. I am thinking it is either too strong of lighting or something in my water quality is not making the goni happy. I dont get overly happy polyp extension with my sps lately either. I have diy led lighting. I moved it into alittle bit of shaded lower light area tonight to see if it makes a difference. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks

I have a number of Goni's and I keep them on the sand bed (40 inches below my Radions) in lower light but not shade. Mine like medium to high flow. I feed them once a week with Microvore.

Can you post a pic?

Looks even worst today. Just did a water change. It looks as if it is loosing its color some now. Not sure if there is any turning around for this piece now.

It's definitely not happy but just appears retracted. Doesn't look like its losing any flesh.

Do all of your tank parameters check out? Anything else in the tank look different (worse) lately?

this guy hasnt been happy for along time. When I first got it it would expand maybe 1/2 inch or so and has slowly gone down hill from there. It might be alittle worst since I dipped several corals and rocks in bayer last week to try and fight aefw. I thought that I rinsed the rocks real well before putting back in tank but my 3 shrimp all died so some had to have gotten back into the tank. I have run carbon and did the water change today so maybe things will improve some. My sps dont have their normal extension either. sometimes this hobby really sucks. Problem is I have 5 more dip treatments for my corals. I will be more careful with the next dip and will probably do a water change either right after on the next day instead of waiting 5 days. should know more tomorrow if the water change did any good.
thanks

No I havent dosed any iron. I did recently have my water tested with triton and the iron levels that they tested for were all in the good range.
