gonna order a new skimmer need help not sure the difference between octopus skimmers

They both look as if the acrylic is super thin, almost flimsy. Just my first observation while looking at the pictures.

both skimmers are fine as quality goes. For great service as well as PA, I would look at octopusskimmer.com. JMHO.
The site is crappy so click on one skimmer and you will be directed to marinesolutions-there you can find the skimmer that you are looking for.
good luck

Eh?? I could be wrong as I do not see them any more. I would still give Rob a buzz though.-good luck
PL

I would call Rob at OS as well as Jeremy at PA. They are made by Coralvue. PA will also match price

on a side note-what are you keeping that you want to skim so heavy? Or why are you skimming at all?

just want a good skimmer, keep soft corals and going to be adding lps, i already have 2 tangs, clown, 2 gobies, blenny, sixline, pseodocromis, and would like to add some anthias.

my tank is 125 gallon that is already been running with hang on equipment, like a remora and a remora pro, plus hang on fuge, but getting sick of dealing with hair algae so i'm gonna get a normal stand since the one i have tank on has shelves and drawers in it. So tomorrow i'm getting a stand and i got a 55 gallon tank to build a sump out of. I want to have a good skimmer and a decent size fuge area for chaeto and calupra to help export nutrients to keep algae down.

i'm just wondering if i'm gonna spend up to 200 bucks on a skimmer if i should get a octopus nw 150, or extreme octopus line 150 or do the octopus nw 200.

Get the biggest, baddest skimmer you can afford....money well spent in the long run.

I would get the extreme. For the price there is not to many other skimmers that will compete with it. Comes with a sicce pump. That thing pulls some air.

They do not have the succi pumps, it's a modified OTP-2000 or OTP-3000 needle wheel. Coralvue felt this was a more durable pump for these skimmers with better long term performance.

this is what jasonfrey posted on pa section on rc

kinda limited cause there arent any stands available with much room underneath them and don't have time to make one cause the whole reason i'm getting to do this now is tank has to come down so i can put in hardwood floors so there are two different brands stands i found locally one i think is perfecto and the other all glass brand one has 26" room underneath other has maybe 28".
