Skimmer Help Needed

I have a SC302. This is the second pump that has died on it and Im just done with that skimmer.

I have been thinking about a Bubble Magnus Curve or a Reef Octopus skimmer to replace the SC302. Im having trouble discerning the difference between the two brand besides pumps. Im also having trouble telling the capacity differences between the skimmers. What size do I really need for the tank that I have?

Who has the better pump? Which skimmer will last the longest?

Tank is a 65 gallon display, 20ish gallons in a sump. Medium stocked with corals and fish ...

Bubble Magus 5 or Octopus 110 is what you would want. Also take a look at the IceCap K2-120 and Eshopps X-120/S-120. They're all good, IMO the latter two have a more reliable pump.

I know of ICE CAP through battery backup stuff, I had never really considered them for a skimmer though.

Well after reading the reviews I think Im gonna go with the Ice-Cap K2-120.
Great build quality, great pump (SICCE is what i was looking for) and pulls a nice dark skimmate. Im not sure I can ask for much more from a skimmer.
