Gonodactylellus affinis

I recently noticed a mantis hitchiker in my tank. He's a small fellow mabey 1/2" right now. Upon further investigation I have decided he is a Gonodactylellus affinis , although I am not completely sure. He seems to be very active usually during light-on periods and I have been able to get quite a bit of observation. I can't seem to find where he has taken up residence. He moves about and goes in and out of many different holes. He also swims out and grabs mysis when it is nearby. My main question is, how do I get him out? I want to give him a separate tank, but I can't pinpoint where he is living. Anyone have any success with those mantis-shrimp traps they make?

i think people have had just as much success with the inverted bottle trick. for one that small, you could take a water bottle and cut the top cone part off. then you flip it upside down and insert it into to the bottle cylinder. glue should work to reattatch it. then you just stick bait inside, you said it liked mysis, so you could try that although something heavier might work better like krill. then just wait. it shouldnt be able to escape the inverted lid. HTH
