good adhesive for stock tank

Any recommendations for an adhesive or epoxy to use on a stock tank? I want to glue in a few things for a sump i'm making. i'd really like something I could find at a home depot or lowes without having to order it.

I would go with something called "PC Plumbing" at HD. it cures in 5 min and is the same basic stuff as all those epoxies. The only real question is would it adhere well to the smooth sides of the tank?

you could try the superglue-epoxy-superglue method that some of us love for mounting frags...might work well.

weld-on could be an option if the tank is made from the right material and what you're gluing is plastic....

Just some thoughts.

have you actually used the underwater epoxy on a stock tank? the plastic it is made of is pretty darn slick. it just doesn't seem like it would stick.

I was wanting to put up some mounts to hold some filter pads in place, but it might be easier to have it dump into a bucket or something like i've seen a lot of people do with those tanks.

I'd try weld-on or one of those plastic welder things.

I doubt the epoxy would work. If it did, it would be because of the super glue, and then you might as well use super glue.

You could see if PVC cement works.
